The "Can you say 4 of last 7?" Post

The Jazz have won 4 of their last 7 games, normally that sounds bad for us Jazz fans, but with the way this season has gone its great. David Locke had a great breakdown of the game (i would give my thoughts but i don't have time today) sorry

That was a fabulous offensive display by the Jazz. Minnesota is not good defensively, but the Jazz executed, controlled the game and got lay-up after lay-up after lay-up followed by dunk after dunk after dunk
  • In the first half the Jazz got 13 layups out of their set offense and 17 overall in the game.  That is terrific.

  • CJ Miles was the story.  Second youngest Utah Jazz player to score 40 in a game.  More importantly to me in 6 straight starts he has scored 19 points or more.  This is the consistency that we are looking for from CJ and he is showing it as a starter.

  • I wonder if hitting the game tying shot the other night will propel CJ.

  • The first quarter was the third time this year CJ has surpassed 17 points in a quarter.

  • It is going to be a real shame if it is clear at the end of the year CJ should have been starting all year.  The numbers have been screaming at us that is true.  The starting line-up with Raja was one of the three worst line-ups in the entire NBA and the line-up with CJ was one of the three best in the NBA.   Furthermore, the idea that you need to keep a scorer on the bench at the expense of your starting line-up defies all statistical models.  What a shame if this season was derailed largely based on this decision.  There is a chance this is the case.

  • You need to have 5 players who can score on the floor at the same time if you are going to be good offensively.

  • With CJ in the starting  line-up it is stunning how much better looks AK gets.  He is now the defenses 5th concern rather than their 4th concern.   He is getting much better opportunities.

  • Tyrone did a nice job with substitutions last night and during some of the key runs of the game had AK at the 4.

  • The Jazz were terrific for the entire game other than when Fesenko was in.  He was awful.  You can’t win in this league when you go to your third string at a position.

  • Jefferson had another big night.  His consistency is unbelievable.  He has scored 20 points or more in 20 of his last 23 games.   The idea of penning a guy in for 20 points every night is completely unheard of in this league.  What a luxury.  He is doing it at a much more efficient rate than he has ever done in his career.

  • Jazz have won 4 of 7, yes they are Sacramento, Toronto and Minnesota for three of them but the way this team was playing it is a start.

  • Derrick Favors is going to be so fun to watch develop.  He does things every night that make you go wow.  I know that Millsap is a better player and has earned every right to start, but I love Favors in the starting line-up and his length.

  • It all goes back to the rightful order of the basketball universe and if your team is going to really really good Millsap is your 3rd big not a starter.   Favors is going to be the starter the day you are really good so why not now.   The reason is because Millsap is the ultimate pro and deserves all the respect in the world.  I wonder if Ty could sell him on this with the lengthen your career argument.   Millsap would still close games for you.

  • Favors hit a left hand hook to the middle last night.  It is stunning what he is capable of doing with so little time.

  • AK won't get a ton of talk but he took Beasley completely out of the game and he stole three or four possessions

  • Does everyone realize = CJ Miles is 23 years old for the final day of his life today.  He is still 23.  Jefferson is 26.   Favors is 19 and Hayward is 20 – Millsap is 26.   A nice core to build with.

  • Not sure but after last night I think Gordon Hayward will have a better career than Wesley Johnson.  The issue with Hayward will be if avoids getting too down on himself when things go wrong.

  • Jeremy Evans has linked together 3 or 4 really solid games as a nice compliment off the bench.   He is much more comfortable on the floor.   The trip to the D-League may have been very valuable.

  • and seriously i had no time
