Jazz drop season opener

Not going to lie, watchin the game tonight was less than enjoyable. However I did manage to find positve notes.

The Good

nothing....

ok ok, there was one thing,

-Both Evans and Hayword showed impressed me at multiple times. Now, alot of Hayword's shots didn't go in (he went 4/11) but it was definately nice to see that he didn't get down on himself and continued to shoot shots. I was very impressed with Evans with the time he got. He really uses his height and his length to his advantage and just simple shot over his opponents (4/5) and had a nice dunk. Sloan played NINE players in the first quarter alone and both rookies got a fair amount of minutes, and it looks like they will play a considerable amount throughout the season.

The Bad

Not going to elaborate here.

Everything but the rookies.

Ok but seriously, the Jazz did not play much like themselves tonight. The offense seemed alot like what the heat looked like in their first game, just didn't look they knew what they were doing. Everything looked sloppy and there were bad passes galore. However, like the heat, we are a completely new team. This was our first game together, it will be better.

Defense was not so good either, switches were sloppy, zone at times looked confusing, all which led to many easy, easy shots for denver.

What we need to realize

-It was first night for a brand new team.
-This was Coach Karl's (or Carl's?) first game back from his battle with cancer, definately gave nuggets the emotional advantage.
-Denver was playing with a chip on their shoulder. Like Melo said, the nuggets hadn't forgot the playoffs last year and they were ready to play us.

This is NOT what theseason is going to look like. However I do think alot of us got a little over excited, you can't expect a the Jazz to be perfect, not just yet that is.

**not happy with perfomace by Big Al, Dwill showed up second half, but overall not good stuff for the either.

well, headin out to the game tmrw, I predict a HUGE win.

oh wait, heres cj after the game "BAD BAD night... It happens but we play tomorrow and I'll be damned if go down like that again"

lets hope..
