NBA season opens!

Its finally here people! The NBA season has officially started, us Jazz fans gotta wait an extra day till we open @ denver, but I think we can handle it.

So as I am starting to recap the first night of the NBA in my mind I have two thoughts.

1.Miami and the Lakers might just be overrated. Miami really had no chance vs Boston, but the Celtics let them stay in the game with all the turnovers. Now I know this is the first game for this pretty much brand new team Miami, but to me it really didn't look like they had much of a game plan, alot of the time it looked like the players for the heat were just sitting there and looking for someone else to do some, kind of like a casual pick up game. And for the most part the Big 3 sucked! Not totally sure on the total TO's for them but it was some where around 10 and I think they combined for around 30% shooting (would have been less but Lebron had a Cleveland-isque type game taking over the third quarter.)

As for the Lakers, well I don't know if they are exactly overrated, maybe vulnerable is a better word. I am writing this as I watch the game, (lal vs hou) and they definately have played poorly for a good party of the game. Now its a close game now, but Houston did have a fairly big lead for alot of the game. It's lookin like LA will be coming out as the victor.

however this leads me to my second thought.

2.The west is sooo up for grabs. Watchin Houston outplay LA has justified my thought of them being a wildcard team for the playoffs this year. Yes I know the Jazz will make the Playoffs but it's scary that we can go from 1 seed to 8 in maybe less then 10 wins/losses.

I seriously think the jazz have a legit shot at the one seed even though every "expert" and even other jazz fans think LA's has it locked up. The preseason didn't mean much for the Jazz but I already see a HUGE difference when the jazz played LA. Jefferson really could be the best thing since malone. I'm sold on that he'll do better than booz ever did.

**Didn't watch it, but thanks to the espn ticker, looks like Portland ran over Phx, hopefully wes did well..  :'('

anyways gotta go clean so I can be ready for the Jazz party tmrw!
