He's back.

After the first few games and dissapointing losses from the Jazz, critisism was flying. Everyone had their reason for the struggles, but D-Will's play was a popular pick, and really, it was pretty fair to put some blame on the team leader and all-star pointguard.

5 games ago the Jazz were 2-3 and were facing one of the most challenging road trips of the season consistenting of 4 games in 5 nights. 2 back to backs, and 3 powerhouse teams, all games, obviously, on the road.

*Cue Deron Williams

While averaging along the lines of 25 pts and 12 assists Deron Williams willed this team to four straight road wins and five overall, and while doing so, erased all doubts.

Not only did Deron return to his all-star form, he accerated his play to another level, higher than that of a superstar, and more like a MVP. Which brings me to my point.

Deron Williams can win MVP this year, and personally, I think he has a pretty good chance. Thanks to LeBron and Wade teaming up, Gasol and Kobe relying on each other more, and Deron's new elevated play, D-Wills door to the MVP has been opened.

However, there is still lots of things that would need to happen in order for Deron to snag his first MVP crown.

-Top 2 in assists (I would say lead the league in assists, but right now Rondo is finally taking advantage of having three possible future hall-of-famers on his team and is averaging 15 dimes a game. If he keeps this up he'll easily lead the league, but since I don't consider him a MVP canidate as long as he has 3 stars on his team, Deron being 2nd would work out.

-Have career best seasons in rebounding and scoring (And so far he's done so, he'll just need to keep it up)

-The Jazz need to place 1st in the west (OR second, if and only if it's behind the Lakers. The MVP award often goes to the best player on the best team, however this can very on how many superstars/allstars on on the same team (LAL, MIA, BOS))

-Get a triple double (Ok, this isn't as important as the others, but it would be the icing on the cake. And with Deron's improved rebounding, I think it's only a matter of a few weeks.)

-And all the other odds and ends (Probably need a 45+ point game, All-Star game (starting?), beat other canidates (CP3) in head-to-head matches and the things like that)
Lets just put it this way people, its possible.
