You can never have to many bigs...

As the first round of the playoffs concludes, I have determined something. To be succesfull in the NBA, you need to have multiple talented bigs, and you can never have to many.

After we acquired Favors in the Deron Williams trade, alot of people started thinking amongst themselves, what are the Jazz going to do with Paul or Al, or even Favors?

Trading either Paul or Al has been a popular subject, but one with not easy solution. Paul is the heart and soul of this team, he gives his 100% every single night, fights through injurys, and gets better each and every year. Al came to Utah and expected to win often and make the playoffs. His hopes were not reached this season. But Al still brought alot to the table, and filled a much needed void. The man brought an array of nice low post moves, length (blocks) and an appreciation of the team, which are things that Boozer never had. (Also note that Al was the only player to play 82 games this season for the Jazz).

When it comes down to it, if us Jazz fans had to choose between the two, we for the most part, just wouldn't be able to make the choice, I know for sure that I couldn't.

This brings me to my point. Keep them all. Each and everyone of them. And you know what, when it comes to the draft, if Kemba and BK are gone, then don't be scared to draft a big, because bigs will win you games. Take a look at the current playoffs.

Lakers- Pau, Odom, Bynum

Mavs- Dirk, Haywood, Chandler

OKC- Ibaka, Collison, Perkins

Boston- Garnett, Davis, Jermain, Shaq, Green

Chicago- Noah, Booz, Deng

Grizz- Marc, Z-Bo

Atlanta- Al Horford, Josh Smith, Collins (yes I just said that)

Miami- No one special

Ok so asides a few teams, like Miami (who has an exception in the big department, because they have 2 top 5 players), most of the teams are solid, very solid in the 4/5 position. Now of course, it all can depend on your teams offensive and defensive schemes when it comes to how many bigs they may need/want, but still you can never have to many bigs in my opinion, as long as they are solid and productive on at least one end of the floor (Fes and Elson don't count for much)

So if draft day comes and goes, and we didn't trade any bigs and maybe even draft one (Biyombo? Kanter? Jones? Tristan?) don't be dissapointed, because when it comes down to it, bigs are a pretty big deal.
