Looking ahead. Finding the light at the end of the tunnel.

As I ended my last post (I had to make into two parts so you wouldn't get as bored as easy) we can only look ahead. Here are my thoughts.

When you look at certain teams, you might wonder how the fans might feel about looking ahead. Think San Antonio, Dallas, Boston, etc. These are very talented teams, all contending for a title this season. But how long is that going to last? Dirk is over 30, and the it would be a lie if you said any of their core players were young. Tim duncan has probably cheated death 5 or 6 times in his life, and boston, in the next 3 years, they may only have rondo. My point, there are many teams in the nba, good teams, that do not have a bright future. La is definately different, saying they can afford to employ pretty much any 13 players that they want to, but for the most part, some teams are looking from the outside in, in a very dark tunnel.

But with the Jazz it is different. Right now, at least in the latter half of this past season, the Jazz have been the opposite of great, we have been, for the most part, just plain terrible.

However, there has been a difference in the bad the jazz have been, and the bad that teams like the clippers and twolves have to constintantly have to suffer through. We really, at this point, have the pieces to be a good team, maybe even a playoff team. Had this current team, played together since day 1 of the season (with corbin) we may have made the playoffs. And get this, that is with our CURRENT team, witha  rookie gordon, jeremy and derrick. I really think if you gave our current team a whole year together, they would make the playoffs.

My point is not that we are a playoff team right now, but that we are a possibly already a playoff team with the perks of the dwill trading in, which are some pretty damn good perks.

The Jazz have a bright, bright future. It may not be as bright as OKC's future, but thats because they have the brightest future in all of the NBA right now.

In the last few games of this season, we saw glimpse of this future, gordon hayward owning the lakers, and destroying denver made a smile. Derrick Favors had so many poster dunks/blocks I can't stop fantasizing about the future of that man. Jeremy Evans can become a solid nba player, his athletiscism is unreal. Al jefferson is what, like 26? Millsap is 25 I think. CJ is barely 24. These are our core players, they are young, very young.

This doesn't even mention our draft picks. We have two lotto picks this year, and atleast one next year. Sure the draft may be "weak" this year but that doesn't mean we can't get any solid young players, and just imagine if we win the lotto, with the 1 or 2 pick, irving or williams baby! Next years draft is supposed to be stacked, who knows who we get out of that draft.

I really enjoy looking ahead, and I am starting to find the light at the end of the tunnel.

*My next post will prob be on the draft lotto, so start waiting.
